Tengnoupal, September 27 2021: A one day "District Level Farmers' Training Programme cum Distribution of water pump set with accessories under PMKSY 2021-22" was organised under the aegis of Horticulture and Soil Conservation Tengnoupal District, Walnut Development Officer, Mutum Nabachandra at DC Office Complex, Tengnoupal on Monday.

The programme was attended by Deputy Commissioner Tengnoupal, Naorem Praveen Singh and Centre for Plant Health Manipur, Crop Solutions consultant, Dr M Thoithoi Singh as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Mutum Nabachandra highlighted the various activities carried out by the Horticulture and Soil Conservation Tengnoupal District under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) for the welfare of the farmers.

Under the scheme, water pump sets and irrigation accessories have been provided to 42 farmers in the first phase and 14 farmers in the second phase, he added.

He stated that a total of 23 water pump sets and irrigation accessories have been allotted for the year.

Out of which, 10 pump sets and accessories were handed over on September 10 at Chakpikarong during the 'Go to Hills' programme by the Chief Minister.

Mutum Nabachandra further mentioned that water pumps and irrigation accessories were provided to 13 selected farmers of Tengnoupal, Machi and Moreh Block today.
