Ideal Blind School's golden jubilee celebration concludes

The year-long golden jubilee celebration of Ideal Blind School concluded today at the school premises in Takyel, Imphal.
The closing function was graced by Social Welfare Minister, Heikham Dingo; Social Welfare Department, Director, Ng Uttam Singh and Social Welfare Department, Joint Director, Jiteshwar Keisham as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Heikham Dingo conveyed warm greetings on the completion of 50 years of establishment and wished the school to produce good students in the years to come.
He asserted that the Social Welfare Department has been taking care of all the necessities and functioning of the Ideal Blind School and will continue to do so for the welfare & betterment of the students.
"Despite facing immense difficulties, some truly amazing people in the world have overcome their disability to achieve remarkable feats and made significant contributions in various fields", said the Minister while encouraging all the persons with disabilities not to feel discouraged or disheartened but to strive to achieve big dreams.
Cultural programmes, talent shows and an exhibition showcasing craft works of students were the main highlights of the event.
Students of Ideal Blind School who passed the HSLC examination conducted in 2021, 2022, 2023 & 2024 were also felicitated.
