Imphal, June 12 2024: The Ngakraba Leirak Development Association, Chingamathak organised a Meritorious Award Distribution cum Career Counselling at Ngakraba Mandap on Wednesday.

It was attended by MAUD and RD & PR Minister, Yumnam Khemchand; social scientist, Dr Dhanabir Laishram; Ngakraba Leirak Development Association president, Nameirakpam Tomba Singh; Association advisor, Leitanthem Tombi; Hijam Ibohal and Ngathem Sudhir as presidium members.

During the event, meritorious students who secured first division and Star Mark in Class X & XII examinations of the year 2023 and 2024 were felicitated.

Speaking on the occasion, Yumnam Khemchand stressed on the importance of making education more holistic to provide a comprehensive education that addresses the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of the individual.

He asserted that holistic education will promote a positive learning environment that fosters collaboration, respect and empathy among the students.

Dr Dhanabir Laishram also enlightened the gathering on psychological traumas in children.
