Imphal, August 10 2025: In a case of dual employment, Apunba Ireipakki Maheiroi Sinpanglup (AIMS) has allegedly discovered an aided college teacher under the Education Department holding another position in a different Government institution.

In a press release, AIMS has accused a female Assistant Professor of Shree Shree Gourgobind Girls' College of simultaneously holding a post in the Phd section under the Controller of Examination at Manipur University.

AIMS asserted that the full profile of staff and teachers of colleges affiliated to Manipur University are submitted to the College Development Council (CDC) of MU .

Under such circumstances, it questioned how MU allowed her to work at the University despite having her documents which identified her as an assistant professor at an aided college.

Additionally, AIMS has asked when she manages to teach the students at the aided college and perform her duties at MU.

Raising concerns about such alleged flouting of rules and regulations, AIMS shared that it will urge the concerned department to take appropriate action and further send an intimation to the Vigilance Commission to return the salary drawn in violation of the rules.
