Parents and guardians of students of Loyala School, Bishnupur today submitted a complaint memorandum to the district's Deputy Commissioner for intervention to ensure resumption of academic activities in educational institutions.
The representation assuring all possible cooperation and assistance of the parents' body also urged the DC for pro-active measures that would bring the students back to the classrooms.
A delegate of the parents' body handed over the memorandum to the DC after staging rally from Bishnupur keithel.
It may be mentioned that as a part of the ongoing public movement three student bodies have been enforcing boycott of classes.
Meanwhile, a meeting of all heads of educational institutions of Jiribam sub-division was held at Highway English School today.
The meeting culminated with the adoption of a resolution appealing to both the State government and student organisations for ending the deadlock that had been affecting conduct of classes.
It also endorsed a previous declaration to make educational institutions free zone.
