Imphal, July 06 2021: Speaker Y Khemchand has appealed the public to get vaccinated at the earliest as vaccination coupled with observing COVID-19 SOP are the only available options to win the fight against the pandemic and to prevent a possible third wave.

Y Khemchand said this after getting the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine at a mass vaccination camp held at Singjamei Waikhom Leikai Athletic Club today and added that many experts have predicted that third wave might hit the Nation and vaccination can minimise the impact of the third wave.

He added that more than 1800 individuals from Singjamei AC have been vaccinated against COVID-19 until yesterday.

Covid Helpline Singjamei has also been vaccinating 100-150 individuals on average everyday at Urban Health Centre, he added.

Y Khemchand appealed everyone who is yet to get vaccinated to visit the nearest vaccination centre to get their jabs at the earliest.
