WIGC founder participates in 7th edition of Bharatiya Samskruti Utsav

Women's Income Generation Center (WIGC) Thoubal founder Indira Oinam participated as a guest of honour at the Grama Krishi Sammelan: Strengthening Agriculture on February 1 as part of the ongoing nine-day 7th Bharatiya Sanskriti Utsav held at Prakruti Nagara, Kalaburagi in Karnataka.
The event which began on January 29 is jointly organised by the Kottala Basaveshwar Bharatiya Shikshan Samiti Sedam, Bharat Vikas Sangama and Vikas Academy and is set to conclude on February 6.It may be noted that the purpose of this celebration is to spread the values and philosophies that have been the core to their work culture in the last 50 years.
The Grama Krishi Sammelan was presided over by Umendra Dutt, member, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi.
Many experts from different parts of the country participated in the conference to discuss various topics, such as, the contribution of farmers in the country, the need to spread awareness about modem farming techniques among them for speedy development and the concept of agriculture as the backbone of Indian culture.
