Imphal, March 03 2025:
All Minipur Students Guardians' Organisation (AMSGO) celebrated its 26th Foundation Day at Thouram Singjamei Waikhom Leikai today.
The celebration held under the theme, "Exam da Afanba Pambei Sijinabagi Hourakpam" was graced by AMSGO working president N Chaoba, president S Shyama, treasurer H Borbabu and Assistant Professor Rajesh Yumna as presidium members.
Delivering the keynote address, AMSGO general secretary Sumati Sougrakpam said that the rising trend of students resorting to "unfair means" during examinations is a serious problem which needs an immediate solution.
She asserted that this problem is like a disease in the educational system which is messing up the future of the youth and the society as a whole.
"Factors like intense academic pressure, competition for good grades, lack of proper preparation, peer pressure, etc can drive students to desperate measures to secure good results", she added.
She also mentioned that guardians/parents must take their responsibilities seriously and guide their children towards the right path.
In connection with the foundation day celebration, AMSGO distributed over 200 mosquito nets at six different places.
The organisation also provided assistance to Arambai Unit 37 .
