KSA vows to carry on

The Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA) has vowed to carry on their struggle until the rights of all the indigenous people of the land are fully protected .
Speaking to media persons at their Sega Road office today, KSA president Moirangthem Lakshman hailed MLA RK Imo for taking up the issue of KSA's political demands in the State Assembly as well as the statement given by Chief Minister N Biren .
The KSA has been demanding reservation of all the Assembly segments of the State for indigenous people of the land starting from the eight Assembly segments where non-local people have overwhelming presence .
The other demand is deletion of non-local people from the State's electoral roll .
While expressing optimism that the Chief Minister's assurance given on the floor of Manipur Legislative Assembly would be translated into action without undue delay, Lakshman said that KSA would continue to struggle together with students, clubs, Meira Paibis and the general public until their demands are fulfilled.
