Imphal, September 23 2022: Three persons, all from general population, were confirmed positive out of 201 samples tested for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours which implied a daily positivity rate of 1.5 per cent.

All the three individuals who have been tested positive are residents of Imphal West district.

There was neither any report of discharge or Covid related death during the last 24 hours even though the pandemic has already claimed 2148 lives in the State.

The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State is now 1,39,803 (general population 1,34,781 and Central security personnel 5,022) .

This figure includes 29 active cases, all from general population and 1,37,626 recovered cases (general population 1,32,611 and Central security personnel 5,015) .

The recovery rate as on Friday is 98.44 per cent.

Till September 22, 62.42 per cent of the State's total eligible population has been given the first dose of Covid vaccine while 54.67 per cent has been vaccinated with double dose.
