Imphal, June 14 2013 : A combined team of CDO/IE and 40 AR arrested one PULF (MI Khan) cadre Md Warish alias Rocky (23) S/o Md Islammuddin of Keirao Mang Makha from Irilbung Bazar at about 8.30 pm yesterday, informed a statement of SP Imphal East district.

It said, the arrested cadre stated that he is an active member of PULF (MI Khan) and joined in the year 2006 through one Anish of Keirao and service as 325 .

Further he stated that he along with his accomplice Inaocha alias Riaj of Keirao extorted money from the general public of Keirao, Irilbung etc, the statement quoted him as saying.

The police also recovered one 9mm pistol with one magazine loaded with 2 live rounds and a mobile phone (Nokia) with an Aircel sim card from his possession.

Meanwhile, a statement of Dr Ak Jhalajit Singh, SP Thoubal district informed that a team of Thoubal police commandos under his supervision conducted search operation at an area near the Stone Crusher at Tangjeng and stopped a Maruti Van pearl blue in colour bearing registration no.AS02F-4492 .

On verification, two of the four occupants of the van Oinam Ngouba (19) alias Bishorjit Singh S/o O Thoiba Singh of Ningthoukhong Kha Leikai ward no.5, and Oinam Boyai (22) alias Nanao Singh S/o O Rameshwor Singh of Ningthoukhong Kha Leikai ward no.6 disclosed that they are the hard core activists of the outlawed KCP, the statement said and added that they were given the task for recruiting children for the organisation in association with one Khundrakpam Robot Singh S/o Kh Rajen of Ningthoukhong Kha Leikai ward no.6 under the command of one S/S Commander in Chief Rishikanta alias Byangthou of the banned outfit KCO organisation based at Moreh.

The statement furthered that they also revealed that the other two occupants of the van Khaidem James Singh (15) S/o Kh Sanamatum Singh and Oinam Bijaykumar Meitei (17) S/o O Ranjit Meitei, both of Ningthoukhong Kha Khunou ward no.3 were kidnapped by them for recruiting to KCP and they took the two youths towards Moreh to hand over them to Rishikanta.

They further revealed that they will be given a sum of Rs 1.5 lakh for recruiting the 2 boys once they are delivered at Moreh.

So, the accused persons Ngouba and Boyai were arrested at Tanjeng near Stone Crusher at 11.40 am and two mobile handsets along with sim cards were seized from their possession.
