Several call on Governor

Imphal, July 09 2024: Governor Anusuiya Uikey convened a meeting with Education Minister Th Basanta Kumar Singh, Chief Secretary Dr Vineet Joshi and Education Commissioner H Gyan Prakash and discussed about the issues pertaining to the administration and development of Dhanamanjuri University (DMU), today.

According to a statement from Raj Bhavan, the Governor enquired about the issues being faced by the students in the absence of a regular Vice Chancellor and Registrar at DMU.

H Gyan Prakash, while briefing the Governor, said that the results of the recruitment examination of the teaching and the non-teaching staff will be declared soon.

The Chief Secretary, on the other hand, said that the process for the recruitment of a new Vice Chancellor of DMU is in progress and advertisement for the same will be issued shortly.

Arrangement for appointment of a new Registrar is on, he added.

Major General Ravroop Singh, IGAR (South) also called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan and briefed her about the prevailing security situation.
