Aid pours in for hailstorm victims

Sagolband AC MLA RK Imo Singh, through the Sagolband Constituency Progressive Committee (SCPC) and BJP Sagolband Mandal, has initiated a comprehensive relief effort to aid families affected by the recent hailstorms across the State.
Acknowledging the urgent need for assistance while awaiting government relief packages, Rk Imo Singh has spearheaded a benevolent initiative to support affected families.
According to a release issued by PRO of the MLA, over 300 households of Ward No 7 and 10 have been provided with immediate relief by providing CGI Sheets.
Remaining wards of the constituency will be addressed in continuation of this initiative, ensuring that all affected families receive the support they need to rebuild and recover.
Furthermore, RK Imo Singh has expedited the process of compensatory packages by submitting all necessary documents to the concerned Deputy Commissioner through his Office.
These packages include additional CGI sheets and essential relief materials crucial for the rebuilding process.
The residents of Sagolband have extended their gratitude to the MLA for his timely assistance and commitment to their welfare.
Moreover, in the wake of the widespread damages caused by hailstorm and heavy rain in many parts of Singjamei AC, social worker Oinam Romen distributed CGI sheets to the 150 affected families on Monday.
Yesterday, a team led by Oinam Romen visited the affected families to assess the extent of the damages inflicted by the violent hailstorm.
He also assured to take immediate steps to provide roofing materials including CGI sheets to the affected families.
At the distribution programme, Oinam Romen said that over the years he has been working for the welfare of the people of Singjamei AC especially those in dire need and the weaker sections of the society.
Highlighting that the relief initiative was fimded from his personal resources, Oinam Romen reiterated his commitment to serve the people without any vested interest or political gain.
Oinam Romen further appreciated the steps taken by the Government to help the affected families and urged the authorities concerned to expedite the process considering the plight of the families who are currently without shelter.
