Imphal, September 06, 2009: In the continued protest against the July 23 Khwairamband Bazar fake encounter incident, a protest rally was carried out at Pukhao after a sit-in protest staged today.

During the sit-in protest expressed fear of going from home when police commandos even killed pregnant innocent woman in the broad day light.

They are also feeling fear of killing by security force after abduction when male members of the family failed to return home till dusk after going out fro work.

They also appealed to all concern to relief them from this fear.The protest was attended by the women of Pukhao Laipham, Pukhao Khabam, Pukhao Ahallup, Pukhao Naharup and Pukhao Terapur.

Slogans like, "Resign chief minister, punish the killer police commandos, repeal AFSPA," etc were displayed.

They also shouted the same slogans during the rally.

Staging of sit-in protest, mass court arrest and holding of rally also continued at at Phoijing Community Hall, organized by Phoijing Awang Apunba Nupi Lup, Sagoltongba Lansonbi Bazar by the Sagoltongba Apunba Meira Paibi Lup and Co-ordinating Committee Meira Paibi Apunba Lup NH � 53, Yurembam by the Yurembam Apunba Meira Paibi Lup jointly with Co-ordinating Committee Meira Paibi Apunba Lup NH � 53.Effigies of Chief Minister, O Ibobi, DGP and police commandos after sit-in protest were also reported at Chingtham Leikai Pandol Keithel organized by the Chingtham Leikai Meira Paibi Chaokhat Lup, Heirangoithong Volley Ground by the Naoriya Pakhanglaakpa Meira Paibi Apunba Lup, Mongshangei School Leirak Machin by the Chanura Lup, Langthabal Phura Makhong Nambul Mapal by the Langthabal Phura Makhong Apunba Meira Paibi lup.

The protest was also staged at Langthabal Lep Thong Ahanbi bazar under the initiative of Lamjing Meira Paibi Lup, at Heirangoithong Ningthemcha Karong Community Hall by the Yaipha Lamjing Nupi Lup, Ningthemcha Karong, at Kakwa Makha Nameirakpam Leikai by the Nameirakpam Leikai Meira Paibi and Lamshang at the gate of the house of Rabina.

Some of the protest was dispersed at start by the police commandos but resumed after they left the place.

After the sit-in protest at Lamshang, the protestors marched a rally towards the Lamshang Police Station.

The rally was foiled by the personnel of Lamsang PS and police commandos before reaching the police station.

They also shouted various anti-government slogans.
