Imphal, September 05 2024: Bank of Baroda, Manipur University Branch, Jorhat Region, yesterday felicitated meritorious students who secured ranks in the MA Hindi Final Examination conducted by Manipur University.

Meritorious students were presented cash prizes during a programme organised by Bank of Baroda, MU Branch on "Baroda Vidyaarthi Protsahan Yojana" at the Court Hall of Manipur University, Canchipur.

The programme was attended by Sikkim State University, former Vice Chancellor, Gopal Kumar Niroula Chhetry; MU, School of Humanities, Dean, Prof S Imoba Singh; Bank of Baroda, North Eastern States, Deputy Zonal Head, Satya Ranjan Mahaptra and Bank of Baroda, Jorhat Region, Regional Head, Lopsang Sherpa as presidium members.

The event began with a welcome address delivered by Prof Akhilesh Kumar Shankhdhar, HOD, Department of Hindi, MU.

Satya Ranjan Mahaptra said that since 2006, the Bank has been providing incentives to students who secured good marks in the Hindi subject at 71 Universities across the country under the Baroda Vidyaarthi Protsahan Yojana.

Bank of Baroda, MU Branch, Senior Branch Manager, Ningombam Ganga also attended the event.
