Workshop on "Schooling: Building Blocks" held

Imphal, August 03 2025: A State Level Workshop on "Schooling: Building Block" was successfully conducted today at the Art Gallery, City Convention Centre, Konung Mamang, Imphal.

The workshop was organised by the Samagra Shiksha, State Implementation Society, Manipur in collaboration with the Department of Education (S), Government of Mainpur, to strengthen the education system in the State.

The workshop was graced by dignitaries, including N Praveen Singh, Secretary, Education (S); Ng Bhogendra Meitei, Director, Education (S) and SPD, Samagra Shiksha, Manipur; and Dr Vasavi Archariya, Early Childhood Expert founder and chairperson.

The workshop began with an opening remark on the conference by N Praveen Singh.

At the event, speakers shared that "Schooling: Building Blocks" is a sub theme of the 5th National Conference of Chief Secretaries 2025-2026, which focuses on "Human Capital for Viksit Bharat" .

They asserted that the workshop aims to assess the current state of education across Manipur, identify challenges, and develop action plans to revamp the education system, focusing on digital literacy, skill development and inclusive education.

In the technical session, Ng Bhogendra delivered a lecture on the topic "School: Building Blocks" and Dr Vasavi Archariya elaborated on "Sustaining and Extending FLN" .

Khangembam Ranjita Devi, HER Soft Skill Training Institute, Khurai delivered a talk on "Life Skill & Holistic Personality Development" while Dr Koijam Sobita Devi, Assistant Professor, Teacher Education, Manipur University spoke on "Alligning Roles of SMCs in line with NEP 2020" and Silomi Sanjenbam, SS Career, spoke on "Creating Robust Mentorship and Career advisory platforms and ecosystem for high school students".

Mala Laishram, Programme Officer, State Child Protection Society, Department of Social Welfare, Manipur also elaborated on "Convergence among Departments" .
