Imphal, June 29 2013 :
Shiv Sena Manipur State has strongly condemned injuring of CPI Manipur State workers on June 20 when they tried to storm the Assembly complex presssing various demands including repeal of AFSPA.
Police not only fired tear gas shells on the rallyists but also lathi charge them.
A press release of Shiv Sena also condemned the injuring of students and representatives of Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System in Manipur Students' Wing by the police when the former tried to storm the Assembly complex demanding implementation of ILP.
The demands mentioned were the rights entitled by the Indian Constitution.
Showing hostility to people demanding one's right shows that the Home Minster is incapable.
It will be right if the Chief Minister advise the minister to resign, the release maintained.
It continued, it is the responsibility of the 60 MLAs to press the India Government to entitle the equal status mentioned in the Constitution to the people of Manipur.
They should keep in mind that the issues in the State, deprivation of people's right, not providing the status which is given to J&K, and abolishment of ILP system are caused by previous representatives of the people.
Inspite of using hostile actions to the workers of political parties and students, it will be better if the MLAs discuss among themselves to bring a solution, the release observed.
