Lamka, May 06 2010:
The Zomi Students Federation today expressed reservation over the arrest warrant issued against leaders of two prominent hill based student organizations and said it is deeply shocked to learnt that such step was taken in the pretext of illegal imposition of economic blockade along the two highways.
The federation strongly felt that issuance of such arrest warrant, to Thomas Taishya, president ATSUM and David Choro, president ANSAM will bring no positive outcome but further aggravate the already volatile situation in the State, it said.
It also urged upon the Government to withdraw its sinister attempt and instead resort to all possible means to tackle the rightful demands of the student bodies amicably.
