Man threatened with gun over debt issue

Thoubal, July 30 2021: A father and his sons tried to shoot a person with a double barrel gun after he went to ask for repayment of the money lend to the former.

The incident occurred at Moijing Awang Leikai under Thoubal police station on Thursday.

According to reports, the target of the attack is one Md Musha Khan (35), son of Md Shahabuddin of Moijing Thongjao and the accused persons identified as Md Abdul Hakim of Moijing Lamkhai and his sons Md Amir Khan, Md Shah Rukh Khan alias Sanathoi and Md Baboy.

The incident happened around 4 pm of Thursday, when Md Musa met Md Baboy at a tea hotel at Moijing Awang Leikai and asked him to return back the money he had borrowed from him.

Md Boboy then went home and returned with his father and brothers and tried to shoot at Md Musa with a double barrel gun.

At that time, people present at the hotel and nearby intervened and snatched the gun from them and made the father and sons to leave the place.

During the scuffle, Moi-jing Zilla Parishad member Md Abdul Latif was also injured.

Meanwhile, Md Musa Khan held a press conference on Friday and condemned the action of the perpetrators.

He also demanded authorities concerned to arrest the perpetrators.

He also informed that a written complaint has been lodged at Thoubal police station in this regard.
