Imphal, September 23 2026: A 46-year-old man who claims to be a Pastor was arrested by the police today for allegedly recording private and compromising photographs and videos of a woman on a mobile phone.

The incident happened at a place under Kwakeithel area under Singjamei police station, Imphal West.

The man arrested has been identified as Ningthoujam Romen (46) of Thanga Salam Makha Leikai.

He was caught red handed by the woman victim.

Sources said the woman noticed the screen of a mobile phone appeared in the hole on the wall of her room.

She went out of her room quietly to check and found the man standing on the spot.

Upon checking the man's mobile phone, the woman allegedly found several videos and photographs of her bathing.

While locals took a decision to ostracise the man's family, the man was arrested by the Singjamei police.

The accused is likely to be produced before a Court tomorrow.
