CorCom extends greetings on 10th anniversary
Source: Chronicle News Service

Imphal, July 09 2021: COVID-19 has claimed more than 1200 lives so far in Manipur and government of India is using vaccination as only means to save lives of the people.

The total number of people to be administered COVID-19 vaccine in Manipur is said to be 19.85 lakh and December 31, 2021 has been set to achieve this target.

However, no one believes that this target could be achieved due to the present tardy pace of vaccination process.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) suggested that vaccination alone cannot defeat the virus in view of the present nature of spread and health infrastructure need to be improved.

Even the United States of America (USA), which has very good health infrastructure and invest 17 percent of its GDP in health sector, is struggling to contain the virus.

Contrary to this, India has very poor health infrastructure and invest only 1.26 percent of its GDP in health sector but still India claims to have improved health infrastructure and prepared to tackle third wave of the pandemic.

This claim indeed is fooling people of the country, the CorCom statement said and maintained that preparation for tackling the maximum damage is utmost necessary for people of the land.

Alleging government of being double standard in tackling the pandemic in Manipur, the CorCom said that experts are being deputed from Delhi to assess COVID-19 situation in the state as it figured among six worst states of the country on one side while on the other side BJP national leaders have started campaign for the next assembly election by violating SOPs.

Amidst this critical situation, people of Manipur should not go mad over Indian sponsored election as more suffering than the present one is imminent if people fail to take timely precaution, CorCom said, while maintaining that Indian sponsored election could not determine future of the people of the land.

Indian sponsored election indeed is a trap to fasten people and hence people of the land should not fall prey to the trap of the politicians but give more attention towards fighting the pandemic, it stressed.

According to the CorCom statement, different revolutionary groups emerged in the journey of revolutionary struggle of every country but differences among revolutionary groups get settled from time to time to move towards a joint struggle and ultimately achieving success of the revolution.

One revolution struggle similar to the present revolution in Kangleipak (Manipur) is Palestine and one significant step in the history of revolutionary struggle of Palestine was the Cairo meet of 1964 in which all the revolutionary groups came under one roof and formed Palestine National Council (PNC).

In the same year, 412 delegates took part in the first meet of PNC on May 28 and accordingly launched a united revolutionary movement for entire people of Palestine.

This step gave strong belief among the people of Palestine particularly those deep rooted in revolution of achieving freedom.

Accordingly, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), which did not take part in the formation of PNC, sent their armed cadres to PNC in the fight against Israel.

Different revolutionary groups of Palestine could not carry forward their revolutionary ideals properly and hence revolutionary movement was sidelined as groups were engaged in gaining supremacy.

Revolutionary groups in Manipur could also set up its allies with neighbouring countries or like-minded groups from far off places after determining its revolutionary goal properly and arriving at a concrete decision as people's resistance movement, self-determination or alliance militant struggle are all based on the experience of global revolutionary groups in the field of revolution.

When compared, Palestine has far greater number of revolutionaries than Manipur (Kangleipak) but when it comes to the general interest of Palestine, all the groups came under one platform for launching a united struggle after setting aside narrow-minded thoughts.

Kangleipak too have some revolutionary groups and are able to form a common platform as revolutionaries have deep love for their motherland and never deviate from the thought of gaining independence.

While asserting that the utmost necessity at this moment for Kangleipak and its people is to get away from India's colonial trap and get freedom, CorCom appealed to people to shoulder their responsibility and join the revolutionary movement while maintaining that gaining independence is the only means to save indigenous people of the land from extinction.
