Hills Hornbill Express commemorates 13th foundation day

Senapati, November 08 2024: Hills Hombill Express (HHE) Senapati celebrated its 13th foundation day yesterday.

Established in November 2011, the first copy of HHE was published in A3 size on the day by a dedicated team of young minds consisting of Nehemiah Rong, Peter Adani and K Athikho.

The day also fondly remembered the leadership of former NPO president Late Mathibo Dili who supported and inspired the pioneers to start the newspaper in Senapati district.

As part of the observation, staff and former members of HHE organized a football match at Jamning Valley Resort, Katomei before a formal program was held with foundation lunch.

On the occasion, editor & proprietor of HHE Peter Adani recalled that HHE started at Christian Colony, Makhrelui in the initial stage with self sponsored equipment, erratic power supply, poor internet and less technical know-how unlike the present age.

While assuring to upgrade its infrastructure and machinery in coming months, the editor also stated that proper Facebook accounts, Instagram and web link of the paper for wider dissemination of information are in the pipeline.

He further lauded all the staff and team behind the success to celebrate HHE's 13th foundation day and termed the staff as the backbone of the media house.

Senior journalist R Bosco also spoke during the formal program.

HHE has extended gratitude to all the subscribers, readers, critics and well wishers for the support and encouragement in taking HHE forward.
