Imphal, May 08 2025: Professor Dr Ahanthem Santa Singh has made history as the first from North East to simultaneously hold the Executive Director position at two All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Currently serving as the Executive Director of AIIMS Mangalagiri (Andhra Pradesh), he was entrusted with the additional charge of Executive Director, AIIMS Bibinagar (Telangana) by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Government of India.

He officially assumed charge of the post today.

It is worth noting that before joining AIIMS Mangalagiri, he served as the Director of the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal.

He also held key administrative and academic roles at the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong.
