SIR Guide portal launched

Tengnoupal, September 06 2026: The GUIDE: SIR Tengnoupal portal was launched by Arun Kumar Sinha, Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur, at the CEO Office, Manipur on September 2 .

The portal launching programme was also attended by Saurabh Yadav, Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer (DEO), Tengnoupal; N Binod Singh, Scientist-F and State Informatics Officer, National Informatics Centre (NIC) Manipur; Md Asghar Arzad, Electoral Registration Officer, 42-Tengnoupal (ST) AC and Kamruz Zaman, Scientist-F & Senior Technical Director, NIC Manipur, said a press release by the DEO Tengnoupal.

The NIC Tengnoupal District Unit, under the team by Thokchom Dayaananda, District Informatics Officer, designed and developed the portal under the guidance of the District Election Officer, Tengnoupal and NIC SHQ.

The portal is the technological pillar of the GUIDE: S.I.R initiative of DEO Tengnoupal, which also comprises a district-wide awareness campaign and a dedicated help desk.

It supports voters during the claims and objections and notice and hearing phases of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 .

The portal streamlines and strengthens the chain of documentation support available to voters.

The document set required by a voter is determined from the date of birth and conveyed at the first point of contact; where a document is missing, damaged or never issued, the case is carried forward through the District Task Force for documentation to the department concerned for verification, retrieval or reissuance wherever legally permissible, said the release.
