Imphal, November 05 2022: The Molnoi Area Welfare Council (MAWC), Kuki Women's Union-Molnoi Area (KWU-MA), Molnoi Area Youth Union (MAYU), and Village Chiefs/Chairman of Molnoi Area (VCC-MA) have vehemently condemned the erasing of signboard depicting the name of Tengnoupal district by a team led by Deputy Commissioner, Somorjit Salam on November 3 .

"We have been under the District Administration of Tengnoupal, all our Hill House Tax have been collected and given to Chandel District (now Tengnoupal), our villages were recognised by the Government through Chandel District Administration (now Tengnoupal), we have been under 42-Tengnoupal ST Reserved Constituency in the Manipur State Assembly Election and enjoying all development through it", said a joint statement.

The CSOs of Molnoi Area further extended their unconditional support to the Tribal Rights Protection Committee, Chandel & Tengnoupal Districts (TRPC-CDL & TPL Districts) .
