Imphal, January 05 2025: Cheingak-Cheisu has expressed profound sorrow and condolence over the untimely demise of eminent writer and cultural icon Oinam Lukhoi, popularly known as Chana Lukhoi.

Chana Lukhoi passed away on December 29 due to an illness, said a release.

In his honour, a solemn event was held at the office of Cheingak-Cheisu on Sunday morning.

During the event, members of Cheingak-Cheisu remembered the numerous contributions made by Chana Lukhoi and shared the grief & pain of the bereaved families.

The gathering also observed two minutes of silence to pray for the departed soul to rest in peace.

Moreover, Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Imphal has also condolence the untimely demise of eminent playwright Chana Lukhoi.

Manipur Sahitya Parishad, Imphal president Longjam Joychandra Singh chaired a condolence meeting on Saturday to mourn the demise of the eminent playwright.

In the meeting, members of the Manipur Sahitya Parishad, Imphal shared the grief of the bereaved family and observed two minutes of silence to pray for the departed soul to rest in peace in the heavenly abode.
