Thoubal, February 02 2025: Book Culture North East has opened the first Thoubal Book Fair at Thoubal Mela Ground today.

The book fair will be held till February 9 .

The fair offers a variety of books at discounted prices, including deals like Rs 399 per kilogram, buy 2 get 1 free, 50 percent off and 15% off on selected titles.

The event showcased a diverse range of books, including fiction, non-fiction, academic texts, children's books, as well as North-East and Manipuri literature.

Speaking in this regard, Book Culture North East convenor, Salam Clinton explained that the book fair is part of its "Travelling Book Fair" initiative.

Previous fairs have been held in Kakching, Imphal East, and Ukhrul district.

The main objective of the fair is to avail books at affordable rates and instill reading habits among the people, added Clinton.

Informing that the book fair will also be conducted in different areas, he urged everyone to visit the book fair and make it a success.
