Many districts to participate in 'Garib Kalyan Sammelan'

Thb/Knp/Jrb/Bpr/Kch, May 30 2022: Thoubal, Kangpokpi, Jiribam, Bishnupur, Pherzawl, Churachandpur and Kakching districts of Manipur will be participating in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's interaction programme with scheme beneficiaries "Garib Kalyan Sammelan" slated to be conducted on May 31 .

The national level Sammelan will be held at Shimla on May 31 wherein the Prime Minister will directly interact with the scheme beneficiaries through video conferencing.

In Thoubal district, the programme will be held at Counting Hall, DC Office Complex, Thoubal from 9:15 am onwards.

The event will be presided over by Y Khemchand Singh, Minister, RD & PR/ MAHUD in the presence of other dignataries such as MLAs, ZPs and Pradhans.

At Kangpokpi, the programme will be held at Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council Hall from 9:00 am onwatds and presided over by Nemcha Kipgen, Minister, Textiles, Commerce & Indistry and Cooperation, Manipur.

Other dignitaries namely, Haokholet Kipgen, MLA, 51-Saitu AC Kimneo Haokip Hangshing, MLA, 46-Saikul AC, caretaker chairman ADC, Kangpokpi, members of CSOs, DLOs and the scheme beneficiaries.

The Sammelan will also be conducted at JMC auditorium from 9:00 am onwards in Jiribam district.

The event will be presided over by Kh Ibomcha Singh, MLA Lamlai and also attended by dignitaries such as the elected members of Jiribam Zilla Parishad and Jiribam Municipal Council.

In Bishnupur district, the programme will be held at Kiyamba Shanglen from 8:30 am onwards and presided over by Govindas Konthoujam, Minister (Works/YAS).

Other dignitaries such as MLAs of the district and Adhyaksha of Bishnupur Zilla Parishad will be present at the programme.

The National level Sammelan will also be held at DTC Hall, Tuibong from 9:45 am onwards in Pherzawl district.

The event will be presided over by Vungzagin Valte, MLA 56-Thanlon and attended by Ngursanglur Sanate, MLA 55-Tipaimukh, Lal Hossan, former MDC, Vangai, DLOs, CSOs and village chiefs.

In Churachandpur district, the event will be helld at YPA Hall, Hiangtam Lamka from 9:00 am onwards presided over by Letpao Haokip, Minister TA & Hills, Horticulture & Soil Conservation.

Further, LM Khaute, MLA 58-Churachandpur AC; Chinlunthang, MLA 60-Singhat AC; Pawan Yadav, Deputy Commissioner, Churachandpur; Shivanand Surve, SP, Churachandpur and all DLOs of the district will attend the Sammelan.

At Kakching, all necessary arrangements have been made to conduct the programme at Kakching Wairi Kongoi Community Hall from 9:00 am onwards.

The event will be presided over by Paonam Brojen Singh, MLA Wangjing Tentha AC.

Other dignitaries including K Ranjit Singh, MLA Sugnu AC, Dr Usham Deben Singh, MLA, Wabagai AC, Yumnam Radheshyam Singh, MLA Hiyanglam AC, Mayanglambam Rameshwar Singh, MLA Kakching AC and Phuritsabam Jiten Singh, Adhyakshya, Kakching Zila Parishad will also be present at the event.

All these district level events will be linked with the National event at 11:00 am when the PM will go live from Shimla and interact with the beneficiaries throughout the country.
