A woman drug dealer was pulled up by the RPF/PLA's Star Force (Special Task Force) along with drugs worth Rs 15 lakh in the international market.
The woman drug dealer identified as Nongyaimayum Jobida Begum (35) w/o Md Salim of Khergao Awang Leikai, Imphal East district was produced before media persons at a location in Imphal East district today.
Heroin (No 4) worth Rs 15 lakh in the international market was seized from her possession.
One Star Force spokesman said that they apprehended Jobida along with the drug at around 7 pm yesterday.
One Khullakpam Sophia (35) d/o late Ningthem of Heikrumakhong Markus Maning who came to collect drugs from Jobida was also pulled up.
If their anti-social activity which has the potential to ruin the whole society is taken into account, both the women deserve capital punishment, said the Star Force spokesman.
However, considering the ongoing unrest which resulted from the Government's misplaced policies, the outfit is of the view that it would not be proper to award capital punishment.
As such, they would be let off with a light punishment, the spokesman said.
If they continue with such anti-social activities, they would be awarded befitting punishment, he said.
Later, the seized drugs were disposed of by spilling it on the ground.
