Students' Forum appreciates Dr Bimol Akoijam

Imphal, April 20 2025: The Students' Forum for Mathematics, Dhanamanjuri University (DMU) has expressed profound gratitude to Dr Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, Member of Parliament from the Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency, for championing the cause of DMU .

In a release, the Students Forum informed that as part of an academic study tour, the students of the Department of Mathematics, DM College of Science, DMU, led by the Head of Department, Prof M Kuber Singh had the privilege of meeting Dr Angomcha Bimol Akoijam in person at the Keibul Lamjao National Park, on April 19, 2025.During the interaction, Dr Akoijam delivered an inspiring address to the students, encouraging them to pursue excellence and contribute meaningfully to society.

The Students' Forum and Department of Mathematics extended its deepest appreciation to the MP for his invaluable contributions through the 363rd and 364th Reports of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, Women, Children, Youth, and Sports.

"We are profoundly grateful for Dr Akoijam's steadfast commitment and dedicated advocacy for the 12(B) recognition and NAAC accreditation of DMU.

His insightful articulation on the floor of Parliament has brought national attention to the pressing challenges faced by our university.

The reports not only highlight the urgent need for academic and infrastructural support but also resonate with the longstanding aspirations of our academic community", it added.

The Students' Forum also expressed heartfelt thanks to Dr Angomcha Bimol Akoijam for his remarkable efforts in championing educational advancement and for his unwavering dedication to the welfare and progress of the people, the State, and the Nation at large.
