Thawai Mirel to boycott Mann Ki Baat

Thawai Mirel is set to boycott Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Mann Ki Baat" broadcast on July 28 if the latter fails to visit Manipur before the commencement of the upcoming session of the Parliament on July 22 .
A press release issued by Th Dara Singh, convenor, Thawai Mirel said that the organisation will boycott the broadcast on All India Radio if the Prime Minister does not visit the State, understand the accurate turn of events that led to the eruption of violence and present the facts on the floor of the Parliament.
It added that the Prime Minister should speak on the influx of "Kuki terrorists" from foreign soil into Manipur and their acts of "terrorism" on the indigenous Meitei community as well as their "terrorist attacks" on the Indian security forces.
Additionally, Thawai Mirel stated that a resolution should be passed to launch a military crackdown on the "Kuki terrorists" .
Failing to do so, Thawai Mirel in collaboration with people across the globe who believe in the idea of Manipur will boycott the July 28 broadcast of Prime Minister's Mann Ki Baat, said the press release.
