Performing Artist Centre celebrates 39th foundation day

Imphal, April 11 2023: Performing Artist Centre (PAC) celebrated 39th foundation day today at its office at Khurai.

The foundation day celebration commenced with floral tributes to the departed members of PAC followed by a ceremonial lighting ceremony.

Former Director of Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy (JNMDA) Laipubam Upendra Sharma; PAC president Thangjam Mani Singh and Sangeet Kala Sangam Secretary M Basanta graced as the presidium members of the programme.

Speaking as the chief guest, Laipubam Upendra Sharma expressed that an artiste excels in their respective fields owing to their hard work and dedication.

Asserting that honesty and sincerity are the key principles for success, he maintained it is essential to make collective efforts for the development of an organisation and to achieve their cause.

He further commended the sincere efforts of the Performing Artist Centre towards the promotion of music and art in the State and stressed on the importance of coordination among various art and cultural organisations in the State for the welfare of artistes.

As a part of the programme, artistes of PAC who have won different awards and senior artistes were honoured with simple gifts.

Artistes of PAC also performed "Krishna Vandana" at the occasion.

Later PAC Programme Co-ordinator Ramananda Sairemcha presented a detailed report on the activities and performances of the Centre.
