250 people vaccinated at 7 Miles Maohing camp

Former executive member of ADC Sadar Hills from Irang Part-II led a mass vaccination drive at 7 Miles Maohing in collaboration with the medical department and COVID Task Force of Irang area.
Around 250 people were vaccinated during the vaccination drive.
BP Vikas Basnet, former ADC Sadar Hills executive member, said that considering the importance and necessity of vaccination, he initiated the vaccination drive in consultation with MLA Nemcha Kipgen and it was conducted in collaboration with the medical team and CTF Irang area.
The former ADC Sadar Hills member appreciated the tireless efforts and sacrifice of MLA Nem-cha and her concern for the people.
He also conveyed appreciation and gratitude to the medical team and COVID Task Force Irang area for their tireless service to the people.
Meanwhile, Yamthong Haokip, MLA Saikul A/C, continued to participate in the routine vaccination campaign and extended a helping hand to the medical department.
MLA Yamthong Haokip also voiced concern over the rising cases of COVID-19 and appealed to the people to get vaccinated as soon as possible to curtail the spread of COVID-19 and most importantly, to prevent unnecessary loss of lives.
In a bid to boost vaccination, he also promised to extend financial help to the first three fully vaccinated villages under Saikul Sub-Division with an amount ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 40,000 .
A total of 50 persons from Changsang, 32 from CHC Saikul, and 170 from Gangpijang were vaccinated on Friday during the mobile vaccination sessions held at different villages under Saikul A/C.The mobile vaccinations under Saikul A/C held at various villages displayed the collective efforts of the local MLA, block administration, CSOs of Saikul and the COVID Task Forces.
With 16 new positive cases detected on Friday, the active cases in Kangpokpi district reached 145 while the number of fatality remained unchanged at 44 .
