Imphal, Sep 05: Baptist Youth Fellowship (BYF), Imphal Division (Youth Department of Evangelical Baptist Convention, Imphal Division) has expressed strong resentment over the August 16 bomb attack at ISKCON, Imphal wherein five devotees were killed while several others wounded.

The Fellowship also strongly condemned the killing of Thawngkhanlian Ngaihte, chairman of BYF, Evangelical Baptist Convention Church, Vengnuam, New Lamka, also the assistant secretary of BYF, Lamka Division and injuring several worshippers in firing by security personnel at the EBCC, Vengnuam, New Lamka on August 20.While sharing the grievances of the victims and their families, the Fellowship also appealed to all concerned to protect the sanctity of the religious places and to refrain from such barbaric, inhumane and terrorist act in future.

Let these two incidents in worship places be the last in out land and let us all lead a happy and peaceful life, for the life is too short to live in fear, hatred, anguish and sorrow, said its secretary N Khamsuanthang.
