Manipuri stars shine on Red Carpet

Imphal, September 04 2013: A grand evening of glitz and glamour was witnessed by hundreds of cine buffs at MFDC complex during Manipur's first ever Red Carpet on August 31 last.

WOL Media organised the event on the occasion of the premiere of Manipuri film Berabee Bomb.

Clad in simple casual denims, Guru Rewben Mashangwa was the first celebrity of the evening who walked the Red Carpet.

The Tangkhul folk singer was followed by senior journalist Yambem Laba and his beautiful wife.

Later, former Union Minister and BJP State President Thounaojam Chaoba and actor-director Denny Likmabam also entered into the glitering ambience of MFDC one after another.

Among sportspersons, five times world champion and Olympic bronze medalist MC Mary Kom greeted the cheering audience in a pink epaulette-studded top and a soft pink traditional Kom wrap-around having blue border.

After remaining aloof from public scene for quite a long, make-up artiste Tom Sharma appeared at the event.

Among other make-up artistes, Jenny Khurai also attended the Red Carpet.

Singer-actor Hamom Sadananda walked down RC in a simple deep muave and grey formal wear.

Kaiku wore a charcoal grey blazer with black satin lapel accessorized with an aviator shades.

Gokul was seen in a silvery suit over a darker monochrome shirt.

Later in the evening, Bala Hijam dazzled the Red Carpet with a simpe cream Kanchipuram saree with a beautiful border accessorised with bangles and a clutch and soft make-up.

Abenao wore a rose pink traditional Rani over a gold embroidered blouse and left her long tresses loose on one side.

Singer Sushmita wore a knee length black dress with a high waisted belt.

A simple middle parting bun and studded wedge shoes completed her look.

Soma sizzled in fischia pink wear which was cross between traditional and contemporary fashion accessorized with bangles, dangling earrings and an oversized cocktail ring.

Senior male artistes looked calm, composed and sober in the ethnic wear, ladies shine in beautiful traditional dresses looking elegant nd graceful as ever with soft smiles.

The female protagonist of the movie Tonthoi wore a modified contemporary version of 'Mapan Naiba phanek' over a sheer translecent embroidered 'phi'.

A high bouffant hair, smoky eyes and burnt orange lippie completed her look.

The cast and crew of the movie lit up the evening in fabilous ethnic wears as they walked down the Red Carpet.

Director O Gautam looked elegant in a simple white 'pheijom' .

Designer Ingocha of Reseacaaf who was the designer of the WOL Media team also walked the Red Carpet with his assistant.
