Irabot Day celebrated across the State

Bpr/Kak/Thb/Tpl, September 30 2022: The 126th birth anniversary of Jananeta Hijam Irabot was celebrated today by various clubs, associations, groups/bodies in Manipur.

BISHNUPUR In line with the celebration of Irabot Day, volunteers of the Moirang Part I Educated Unemployed Youths' Pisciculture Co-operative Society Ltd carried out a cleanliness drive along Keipha road.

Volunteers also cleaned the area around the Co-operative Society premises.

KAKCHING In line with the celebration of Irabot Day, Kakching High School 1984 Matric Batch organised a cleanliness drive at Kakching Bazar.

They also cleaned and took care of the tree saplings planted at Kakching Higher Secondary School and Kakching Wairi Loushi Chingkheibung road.

Keirak United Development Association (KUDA) also celebrated the 126th birth anniversary of Hijam Irabot at Emoinu Lampak, Keirak.

It was attended by Keirak GP Pradhan, E Shanti; Up-pradhan, Y Ratan; KUDA president, L Chandrakumar and retired headmaster S Irabot as presidium members.

TENGNOUPAL MCM, ACODOM, Kha Nongpok Apunba Nupi Lup, Nupi Khunai Chaokhat Lamjing Lup amd AMSU Tengnoupal District Committee also jointly celebrated the 126th birth anniversary of Lamyanba Hijam Irabot at Indoor Hall, Eastern Shine School in Moreh.

School students and people from 5 Meitei villages took part in the event.

The participants also paid floral tribute to a portrait of Hijam Irabot.

THOUBAL To commemorate Irabot Day, District Administration Thoubal today organised a mega social service camp at Khongjom War Memorial Complex.

Deputy Commissioner Thoubal, A Subhash Singh led the officials, staff and volunteers at the mega social service camp.

Wangjing Tentha AC MLA, P Brojen also visited the site.

Around 500 staff and volunteers of different Departments & organizations including Red Cross Society, Chamber of Commerce, and Mega Tourism Co-operative Society Ltd took part in the camp.

SP Thoubal, Jogeshchandra Haobijam also took part in the camp along with staff of Fire Service, CMO, Social Welfare, District Police, PWD, PHED, Water Resources, Forest, Minor Irrigation, MSPDCL, Municipal Council Thoubal, Municipal Council Wangjing, Municipal Council Sikhong Sekmai, Office of the District Information Officer, etc.

Salai Kanba Lup, Ukhongsang; Temple of Universal Peace Awareness cum Arts and Culture Academy (TUPAACA), Art And Cultural Academy (ACA) Thoubal and Taibang Maheikol, Thoubal Wangmataba Mathak Leikai; and Kekru Yairi Club Yairipok also celebrated Irabot Day today.

Similarly, 126 Lamyanba Hijam Irawat Day Celebration Committee Lakhinagar also observed Irabot Day at Manipur Basti, Lakhinagar, Assam.
