IGAR(S) Maj Gen AK Choudhary flagged off an educational tour to Rajasthan organised by 22 Assam Rifles yesterday.
The group which comprised of one officer, four techers including two ladies and 36 students including 18 girls will visit Jaipur, Jodhpur and Jaiselmer in Rajasthan, said a press release of PRO of Hqs IGAR(S).
In yet another function, IGAR(S) Maj Gen AK Choudhary flagged in the 'National Integration Tour to Kolkata' organised by 17 Assam Rifles at Mantripulhri yesterday.
The team comprised of 30 students and two teachers of Ukhrul Higher Secondary School, Phadang village and Sangshak visited various places of interest in Kohima and Kolkata.
The group visited War cemetery, Cathedral Church and Kida market at Kohima.
They also visited Science City, Nico Park, Kali Temple, St John Church, Victoria Memorial, Birla Planetarium, Indian Maiden, Fort William, National Zoo and Nehru Children's Museum in Kolkata.
The students interacted with Governor Gurbachan Singh Jagat at Imphal yesterday, said a press release of PRO of Hqs IGAR(S).
