Imphal, September 23 2014:
Jiri Louri Khongthang Lup (JLKL), Jiribam has alleged that the department concerned for NH-37 road supervision has not been taking any step to improve the pathetic condition of NH-37, according to a statement issued by the publicity secretary, JLKL, Ch Priyokumar Singh.
The statement urged the Chief Minister and the local Ministers to visit NH-37 by road at the earliest and experience the difficulties faced by the passengers while travelling on the highway.
The passengers have been facing a big problem due to the pathetic condition of the road.
They often have to push their vehicles to pass through some portions of the road.
Sometimes, they even have to starve during the journey as there are no shops.
No one wants to open shops along such pathetic road, it added.
However, JLKL extended its warm gratitude to the 7 IRB personnel for their kind gesture in helping the needy passengers travelling through NH-37 .
