Imphal, July 19 2024:
Instead of resorting to blame games and mud slinging matches, the MLAs, Ministers and people from all sections of society should come together to work out a solution to the 14-month old Manipur crisis, said Karam Shyam, MLA, Langthabal Assembly Constituency.
He made the statement during the "Skilling and Livelihood Programme" inaugurated by Chief Minister N Biren Singh and organised by the Manipur Horticulture & Soil Conservation at City Convention Centre, Palace Compound today.
Addressing the gathering, Karam Shyam said that if the conflict continues to fester, it will lead to scores of more unfortunate incidents and adversely affect the future of the State and its people.
It is time for the MLAs, Ministers, intellectuals, social organisations and village volunteers of Manipur to unite and devise a solution to end the conflict.
Calling for an end to blame games, the MLA appealed everyone to focus on how to arrive at a solution and set a deadline to work out said solution.
Karam Shyam also spoke out against the circulation of baseless rumours in social media.
