District Administration Thoubal sets up 12 relief camps for families affected by hailstorm

District Administration Thoubal has set up 12 relief camps for families affected by the May 5 hailstorm, Deputy Commissioner Thoubal Ahanthem Subhash has informed.
Addressing the media this morning at his office, the Thoubal DC went on to say that the storm caused wide spread damage in various regions of Thoubal district.
According to reports sub mitted to the District Administration, 808 houses have been damaged by the storm.
Out of this, 962 persons from 237 households are seeking shelter at 12 relief camps in the district, he added.
The number will possibly increase as more updated re ports are submitted.
Ahanthem Subhash has appealed to those affected by the hailstorm to submit a damage report including' photographs showing the ex tent of damage to DC Thoubal Office or at their nearest SDC or SDO office by tomorrow.
