GIPCA observes 7th foundation day

Imphal, June 30 2022: The 7th foundation day celebration of Guru Ibempishak Cultural Academy (GIPCA), Uripok Khaidem Leikai was held today.

The foundation day celebration was held at Shree Shree Radhabinodlal Mandap at Uripok Takhellambam Leikai, NG College Leirak.

Retired IAS Officer Kangjam Radhakumar, vice-president of GIPCA who is also the former principal of Liberal College, Brahmacharimayum Pramodini Devi, former SP Dr Yanglem Mohen Singh and Assistant Professor, Manipur University of Culture, Makhonmani Mongshaba graced the programme as presidium members.

Addressing the gathering, K Radhakumar stressed on the need of providing financial assistance by the Government to the institutions in the State who are striving for the promotion of art and culture.

He also appealed to the institutions concerned to seek information about grants and financial assistance provided by the Ministry of Culture, Govt of India and State Government for the cause of promotion of art and culture in order to avail the benefits.

As a part of the programme, a team of GIPCA presented 'Das Avatar' and certificates were also presented to its members for their outstanding contributions.
