109 Bn CRPF conducts civic action programme at Mongsangei

109 BN CRPF under the aegis of IGP Manipur and Nagaland sector conducted a civic action programme today at Mongsangei, Makha Leikai, Imphal West District with an objective to extend a friendly, and helping hand to the residents of Makha Leikai, Mongsangei.
The programme was carried out under the direction of Randeep Datta, PMG, IGP Manipur and Nagaland Sector, CRPF in presence of R S Rautela, DIGP, Range Imphal CRPF, AK Singh ,social activist, RK Taruni Devi, President of District Council, Moirangmayum Thoiba Singh, founder of Little Master English Higher Secondary School, Shamurou, Vinod Kumar, Commandant-109 CRPF, Dr Phaomei Kirongkhon, CMO(SG) of 109 Bn, CRPF and other officers and personnel of 109 BN.
26 water storage tanks and 25 solar lanterns were distributed to the poor and needy persons of said village in presence of dignitaries and local populace.
Speaking as the chief guest Randeep Datta, PMG, IGP M&N Sector said that it is need of the hour to take care of needy persons, of society and their continued unabridged support has helped the CRPF to maintain peace and stability in the long disturbed and militancy prone state.
CRPF has always stood with the residents of Manipur in general and Mongsangei in particular in harbouring a tranquil society which incapacitates all to be a part of a developing, prosperous society.
He also praised the work of 109 Bn,CRPF for taking care of needy persons of the Mongsangei, Makha Leikai Village and adjoining areas Vinod kumar, Commandant 109 Bn stated that 109 Bn CRPF Mongsongei, has always helped the needy personnel of the society by reaching at their doorstep and connecting with them through heart and soul.
He further emphasized the importance of utility items ie, water storage tanks and solar lamps in our day to day life.
Demographic compulsions have forced mankind to innovate and adapt to changing circumstances.
In this regard, 109 Bn Mongsangai stands with brethren of Manipur in acknowledging the need of water storage tanks to collect, store and preserve rain water as a part of rain water harvesting to be used when in need.
He also thanked Randeep Datta, PMG, IGP, M&N Sector CRPF and august audience for extending CRPF an opportunity to light up dark, gloomy homes of the hoi polloi by distributing solar lanterns and urged the local administration to fulfil the needs of the local people.
RK Taruni Devi, President District Council praised the concern of the unit Commandant for its virtuous affiliation.
She emphasized the simplicity and gratitude that the residents of Mongsangei have bestowed upon the endeavor of 109 Bn .
