Imphal, January 07 2017: A large number of workers and supporters of Okram Henry Singh have reportedly switched side to Y Erabot and this was disclosed by the former Minister to reporters today.

Speaking to reporters at Hatta today, Erabot claimed that 50 workers and supporters of O Henry have extended support to him.

Going on the offensive against the Congress Government, Y Erabot lanbasted the mass appointment in various posts of the Department of Consumer Affairs Food and Public Distribution.

He said that even though the DPC for Civil Supply Inspector was held on January 3 and 4, the result was already declared on January 3.In the result, Okram Joy was at the top of the list and Minister Kh Ratan Kumar's brother Kh Tenzing was selected under OBC category, he alleged.

For the post of Storekeeper, an applicant named Thokchom Amumacha bearing roll no 0185 who did not clear the written test was selected, Erabot alleged and added that Okram Kunjeshori Devi bearing roll no 107 who did not clear the written test for Weight and Measure Department was selected.

He further said that appointing 20 applicants although only five posts were mentioned in the notification violates the Supreme Court ruling.

He said, "It seems there are two MLAs for Wangkhei A/C and thus the genuine MLA is not able to implement any development programme properly" .

Erabot alleged that there is no Opposition party in the Assembly to highlight the question of drug use and abuse.

Many drugs have been seized by the SIU but it was disbanded and the members transferred.

He resigned from being an MLA and from INC's primary membership on September 12, 2016 .
