Jiribam, August 27: AMSU District Committee Jiribam observed the 43rd Hunger Marchers' Day at the auditorium of Jiribam Higher Secondary School today.

Jiri ZEO Th Ketuki Devi, AMSU Jiri president H Priyananda, MSF Jiri president M Ranjit, DESAM Jiri president S Shyamsunder graced the function as chief guest, president and guest of honours respectively.

Bailey bridges snap: Meanwhile, two bailey bridges between New Kaiphundai and Makru have been snapped due to heavy vehicular traffic in the past three days.

Goods laden trucks with more than the allowed weight of 10 ton were crossing above these bridges during this time.
