"Reduce fares of flights, chopper service"

The Regional Indigenous Forum for Peaceful Co-existence (RIFPCO) has appealed to the State Government to take necessary steps to reduce the fares of flights & helicopter service by about 30-40 percent for the people belonging to the Meetei/Meitei community.
In a release, RIFPCO said that the State Government should consider the difficulties faced by the Meeteis who are unable to traverse along the highways due to the prevailing law & order situation of Manipur.
The Forum also asserted that the State has been reeling due to the prolonged conflict and many people, especially students are feeing difficulties to afford the flight/helicopterfares.
RIFOCO further appealed to the State Government to make necessary arrangements with the Civil Aviation and Ministry of Transport, Government of India to reduce the fares of flights & chopper service or make the highways safe for the Meiteis at the earliest.
