Ukhrul, September 23 2026: Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh is likely to visit Ukhrul on September 28.For the proposed visit, the district administration is making necessary measures and has stepped up security measures, said reliable sources.

The sources said the Chief Minister's proposed visit is connected to a public service delivery camp being planned at the district headquarters.

The Chief Minister is likely to attend the camp, inspect project sites including Shirui village, and interact with public leaders and beneficiaries of Government projects and schemes, added the sources.

The camp will see distribution of Government benefits and enrolment of beneficiaries for various schemes.

All Government departments will be invited to the camp.

A health camp is also likely to be organised at the camp with super specialty doctors from Imphal attending.

The preparations for the proposed visit was undertaken after the Ukhrul district administration received a request from the Chief Minister's Office to make arrangements for the public service delivery camp, said the sources.

The Deputy Commissioner, Ukhrul has been instructed to coordinate with departments and all stakeholders concerned for the proposed visit of the Chief Minister and the camp, added the sources.
