Free Mega Dental Health Camp held

As part of the month-long observation of World Oral Health Day (March 20- April 20, 2025), a One Day Free Mega Dental Health Camp was held today at Kangmong Public High School.
The event was organised by the Indian Dental Association (IDA), Manipur State Branch, in collaboration with the National Oral Health Program, District Health Society, Imphal West.
The camp was held under the World Oral Health Day theme "A Happy Mouth is A Happy Mind", emphasizing the vital link between oral hygiene and overall physical and mental well-being, said a release issued by IDA Manipur State Branch.
The event was graced by Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh, MLA of Konthoujam Assembly Constituency, who interacted with attendees and encouraged the community to maintain healthy oral hygiene habits.
He also distributed toothbrushes to children as a gesture of support for preventive oral care.
A dedicated team of 30 doctors, including office bearers of IDA Manipur State Branch, conducted check-ups and treatments for approximately 300 patients.
The services provided included screening for various dental and oral conditions such as oral cancer, as well as free treatments like dental fillings, scaling, and extractions.
Additionally, free medications, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and mouthwashes were distributed to all beneficiaries.
The event marked a significant step toward raising oral health awareness and improving dental hygiene practices among the public, particularly in rural and underserved areas.
