Essential materials provided to relief camps in Jiribam

Jiribam, June 12 2024: In continuation of extending humanitarian aid to the displaced victims of violence in Jiribam, the School Management Committee, teaching staff and non-teaching staff of RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya, Jiribam provided essential and relief items to different relief camps in the district.

Speaking in connection with the initiative, RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya Principal S Maniton Singh said that the relief materials have been distributed in a bid to extend best possible aid to affected displaced victims amid this tough phase.

The relief materials were procured and subsequently distributed to the relief centres from the contributions made by the staff of the school.

In a similar initiative, BJP General Secretary and Manipur Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board Chairperson K Sarat Kumar Singh visited many relief camps in the district yesterday and took stock of the condition of these relief camps providing shelter to the displaced victims.

He also provided essential items to relief camps opened at Bidyanagar Multi Super Sports Complex (Indoor Hall), Chingdong Leikai Upper Primary School, Sorok Atingbi High School and Children Home Harinagar.

It may be noted that many people have been rendered homeless due to the recent outbreak of violence in Jiribam district compelling them to take refuge in relief camps.
