Imphal, February 05: In a hit and run case, a 26-year old youth was killed after he was knocked down by a speedy vehicle which sped away at Sugnu Bazar at around 8 pm yesterday.

The victim has been identified as Khaidem Ingo (26) s/o Khaidem Nobo of Sugnu Khaidem Leikai.

Along with registering a case with the Sugnu PS, the corpse has been handed over to the bereaved family members after post-mortem at the mortuary of RIMS today.

Meanwhile, the body of Nongmeikapam Shyam (40) of Oinam Sawombung who was found shot dead by unidentified gunmen at Samurou Makha Leikai Litan Makhong under Wangoi PS on the night of Feb 2 has been taken away by family members and the JAC representatives after post mortem at RIMS today.
