Senapati, May 04 2022: Project FAB (Friends Across barriers), MANEDA on Wednesday organised a training programme on "Pedagogical aspects of learning Mathematics" at Mt Zion School English School.

The project under Terre Des Hommes will work with schools in Senapati and Kangpokpi district, training teachers to use TLMs in the schools.

Speaking to media persons, Meveine Kazia, project coordinator stated that with Maths TLMs, Project FAB is trying to minimise the fear of numbers and make learning numbers a fun experience.

"The core focus is on development of Number Sense at the early stage.

In this approach, the connection of number with quantity is kept alive, helping the children to connect their live experiences and intuition", said the project coordinator.

Headmistress of the school, Hesho Anila informed that the children were excited and responsive to the TLMs.

She continued that it was a very good approach which would enhance the mental abilities of children.

Hesho Anila further appreciated FAB-MANEDA for the initiative.
